WOW! What a fantastic response from the Robina Community in regard to the beautification of our School. We have had many donations of beautiful healthy plants which are drought tolerant and hardy and these plants have already been planted and mulched. Thank you, thank you, thank you to those families who have donated these plants. Karen Owen, another one of our many committed and motivated parents, has already organised the bobcat, crusher dust and pavers for our library courtyard. Hopefully it will be operational for our Book Fair in Week 7 so keep your eye on that space to watch the progress. Thank you once again to Karen and her family. We’ve also had lots of suggestions as to how we can acquire plants. One suggestion was that if everyone collects their two free trees from the Gold Coast Council (just present your rate notice to any of the following sites) before May 2008: Mudgeeraba – Firth Park First Friday of month 7.30am to 10.30am 7 March, 4 April and 2 May Chevron Island – Cnr Stanhill Drive and Aruma Street Second Friday of month 7.30am to 10.30am 14 March, 11 April and 9 May Miami – Burleigh Bears Rugby League, Pacific Ave/Sunshine Ave Third Friday of month 7.30am to 10.30am 18 April and 16 May You can also deliver your original rate notice to school and we’ll pick up the trees ourselves and return your rate notice to you. Thank you also to Jackie Brunton and 6Mu who mulched our gardens on Wednesday so that our new plantings are encouraged to grow strong and healthy. The mulch arrived compliments from Mick’s Mulching and Tree Services whilst they were mulching the trees from Shanandoah Court. Thanks guys. |
